i was thinkin of putting a temp gauge on my viper an i have a friend that has one from canadian tire with all the parts an stuff an he is willing to give me. So i was just wondering what kind of work this would take to install an would it work. Or shouldi get another type of gauge because of dif fittings an whatnot or r they all the same.

so the one i got (canadian tire type) should work then. Just all depends how i hook it up.
ok so i got a chance to look at the temp gauge my friend has an the sensor on it is a long brass cylinder thing..its about a inch long..so what is everyone else using for a sensor because by the look of this one its way to big to do anything with.

take a pic and show us.You may need an adapter spliced into your water line firstly for the sensor to fit into.It may not work.?????
k here is what the sensor part looks like..exactly like that one but the gauge is dif from the one in the pic..http://www.google.ca/imgres?imgurl=...ndsp=12&ved=1t:429,r:7,s:210&biw=1362&bih=496

That's a mechanical/capolary tube type. You'll be limited in where you mount the gauge. If it'll reach the gauge pod you still may have fatigue of the tube from opening the hood. The tube isn't disigned to be bent over and over with opening the hood and can not be shortened.
