Got a pair of em on their way to me along with a Torque Limiter... by the time I am done tweaking this sled it will be an antique! But I have a while till the Nytro XTX's come down in price to something reasonable! lol

dude, I think the shocks wont work, the clickertop wont clear the fancy pipes on the right side.
you might have to break them down, cut the can mount off, drill tap and install a hose and mount remotely,, will look cool but a pain the ***, you have srx pipes so, your used to that already getting them in there

Dangit... live and learn... anyone want to buy a pair of Ohlins for an 02-05 Viper/Venom? lol On a side note, they might work well on my wheeler, I think the length is about right, have to check it out...

Yea, I am going to try them, but I am pretty sure that Scott is right, the SRX pipe hangs pretty low in the shock opening

you might get them on, but the bump hitting is the problem, the cans and dial swing up.
just cut them and mount the cans on the bellypan like the snow cross sleds.

they will work run them upside down so you don't have an issue
clevis mount top, eye mount lower, not to mention, it would put the plasic adjuster almose even with the bottom of the trailing arm if you could.

Just cut them

when you say the shocks wont work, are you saying they wont work on a VIPER? the description on port Yamaha says it'll fit an 02 - 04 SXVIPER
If it doesnt fit the Viper why would they advertise that in the discription?

If they will fit, I wished I had seen this sooner, I spent the same amount of money on the ohlins w/o the resevoir

I have been looking into this as well. I think they are describing the shock for the RX-1. For that price I am gonna say it is the W/O res Ohlins for the viper.

Carver is out of the Ohlins shocks, you musta got the last set.

Did you get your shocks yet? If so can you post a pic or say if they have res. or not. Thanks

I have not received them yet, Im sure they will fit a stock Viper as advertised, I just happen to not have a stock Viper, when you do the SRX pipe swap, you have to cut the belly pan near the shock mount to fit the pipes under the hood, the pipe will take up the room that the shock resi would go in.

I asked BTV about this, and it's related to the SRX pipes conversion on the Viper, which I guess entails you to modify the belly pan near the shock tower top. As long as you have the belly pan intact, there should be no problem.
