Durning cleaning of the air box post carb cleaning i noticed the feet at the bottom of the air box are worn down. They now have holes through the bottom of the feet into the airbox. Im assuming they shouldnt have that hole at the bottom of the feet. Their was a lot of dirt dust in their this year and im guessing thats why. If the holes are not supposed to be their can i just fill them in with siicone and call it good? CCC
Those are drain holes....

Cool, just never noticed the holes before. CCC
Yup Whammy is right, those holes are supposed to be there. At least I've seen the holes in 2 sets of Viper air boxes, and 3 sets of red head airboxes lol
The engine spits back oil/gas mix, the holes are for this to drain out. The woe of a very short intake...
dang it, you guys told him the truth!
I was gonna tell him its because the sled is "completely worn out" and should not be driven anymore, the frame is loose and letting the engine and airbox bounce around. I was also gonna tall him I would do him a favor and get the worn out viper out of his way for scrap price, because you cant have a worn out dangerous to drive sled around........LOL!
somehow, I dont think he was gonna buy it.....![Head Bang :o| :o|](https://totallyamaha.net/images/smilies/banghead.gif)
