Last year it would flicker alot.This year it is on steady.I disconnected the sensor wires at the reservoir and it is still on steady.Doesnt matter if its full of oil or half full.Anyone have any idea where I should look?
Oops sorry guys I should have searched first.Sounds to me like its a bad sensor from posts on subject.So I will order one.I assume I have to drain oil below level of sensor to remove it or I will have a mess?
see if you can close the circuit to see if the light goes out .
I have a 98 oil sensor I can pay forward since ive had it for about 5 years on my shelf. Bad thing is I cant get to it for a month yet

I disconnected the plug at sensor and jumped the two posts at wiring harness side and light still is on.Now what?
Started sled up today and now oil light is just flickering a bit?
sounds like a short somewhere...
I think it might be in the gauge.Tested all the wires I could and visualized them.Should just disconnect it but I know I cant trust myself since I am so used to putting oil in when light comes on and I am getting old
