Sledtoyz.com will be adding two types of blind rivets to our inventory in a couple weeks.

1: 3/16" Multi Grip, 3/8" Head (small), 1/2" grip range, Zinc coated steel head and nail. These things take allot to pull and we recommend an air riveter for bigger jobs. Yamaha uses this style in it's tunnels and heat exchangers etc.

2: 3/16" Aluminum, 5/8" Head (large), 3/4" grip range, steel nail. Will work well with a back-up washer for snow flaps, skid plates etc.

We will eventually be adding the large head Multi grip rivets, probably sometime in the late spring, maybe. How's that for ambiguous. ;)!

We have some info on the website about the Multi grip, still working on the Aluminum info.

We were wondering if anyone would be interested in buying these in powder coated colors, so here's the survey.

If minimal inventories is the objective, black or natural goes with everything. Then again....if it's a steel rivet, the black ones would offer some protection from the corrosion bug.
I have used the rivets your refering too. Definately not for a HARBOR FREIGHT rivet gun.

Ya, I want to be able to offer some standard colors and have a pretty good idea that the poll list would be more than enough. My wife did suggest pink tonight.......

The Multi-grip are zinc plated to start, the coater would be coating over that for any colors. It would likely be Candy Red and Candy Blue as well, I think they'll better match the Yamaha colors. There's always the possibility to do custom colors as well if the customer could wait 7-??? days.

X2 - howzabout offering a good gun too? I've got a gun from Mac I bought years ago and it's handled everything I've put through it. Not sure who makes it.

Seems to me the black coated zink hold up better against dissimular metal/galvanic corrosion than just uncoated zink.

Rivets are in! We've listed the Natural color ones and will be working on getting the Black, blue and Red coated (in that order) over the next week or two.
