Hey gang, first I would like to say thank you to all the TY contributors for all the great info on this site!
In the past I have had bad luck with carb maintenance on my other toys, so I am gonna take my new to me viper to a friend of a friend so he can give me a carb cleaning lesson. The how-to in the tech pages is awesome, but I don't trust myself to do it alone the first time.
The sled came from the east coast, I ride it in alts of 180' to 1200', and in temps of -20 celsius at the coldest. She only gets about 5-6 mpg riding on-trail, and semi-conservatively, and seems to drink oil. She cold starts in about 7-8 pulls. But she ran pretty good at the end of the season last year. I did a few searches on fouled plugs after I pulled out the plugs today. They were covered in grainy oily bits and not looking very good. I am guessing I should have a look at the reeds, and the power valves as well.
Any tips/observations/jokes
