If the power valves are out of sink, why do you have to idle the sled down to 900 RPM's ??? Seconds question, while cleaning my PV i heard the servo move, will the PV go back. or am i wasting my time starting the sled an setting/Sinking the PV.....
idle the sled down then mark the servo and housing then if they move then you will know where the servo should be during adjustment

The reason for idling down below 900 RPMs is to fully open the powervalves. This is where yamaha wants you to adjust them. If you make a mark with the pulley and the housing like romig said, you can tell if they have moved or not. They will go back, but they should all be set at the same position (which is fully open).
