Just fired up the sleds, getting them ready for winter...My 2000 SX600R seems to idle a little low (but not a lot low), no biggie, probably dirty carbs, but when it is at an idle, its not getting any electrical power. No lights, no tach, grip heat, nothing....Rev it up a bit and everything comes back on....Am I looking at a problem I should take care of? This happen to anybody else...This is my first Yamaha, had ski doo's prior to this, never came across this problem.
how low dose it idle? if it low enough it may turn off lights.

Seems about 500-600rpm...pull it apart tonight maybe and see what happens...What is the correct idle rpm for this sled?

That is way to low of an idle. Stock is 1600 RMP give or take a bit. Im surprised it will idle at 5-600 rpm. Not sure about the light thing but idle that low i could see it doing that. CCC
Get The Idle Up .then You Will Have Lights

Gonna be a couple more days before I get back to that sled...Got the track out of the Vmax...waiting for the used one I ordered on Ebay along with the drop brackets...Once I get that back together I'll start messing with the SXR again...just not enough room in the garage!
