Question on an SRX set up
I have a 2001 SRX that has a Viper rear skid with Ohlins and the Viper front shock conversion with a Pioneer Performance wide kit.
Since I am still using the stock SRX trailing arms and spindles, should I swap them for the Viper components? What is the benefit?
The sled has always sat low in the front compared to the stock Viper. Does the Viper lower shock mount differently and does this raise the front end up?

viper spindle is an inch taller as well you probly have different skis that lower the front end as well. mount is in the same location. Set up sled as per directions below and you will be close. Front end is low but normal, viper front shocks with stock springs have alot of set in combined with your shorter spindle. High front end doen't translate to better ride, skis fall into holes as much or more than they lift up over a bump.
oh, the difference also is caster angle will be increased which makes the sled go straight easier and turn harder. Make sure you adjust your carbide pressure with your ski rubber, going long travel changes this from the already screwed up stock setting.

BETHEVIPER: So should i replace the trailing arms and spindles with Viper units? Do you have them?
I bought the Viper shock mounts from you and I was happy

I have one, I don't think it is worth the bother for the extra hight. You might want to check your widening kit. if you run all those rod ends a little extra wide, you might make the sled an extra 1/4-1/2inch wider. If it is wider, it will cause the shock to lay down more and have less leverage on the sleds weight. It will act like the shock is valved softer and sprung softer, lowering the sled. You might gain some height by narrowing it up a little.
