im installing my handlebar risers tonight and i've got everything done but the oil extension cable. i see that there is no easy way to get to the bottom of the cable. anyone know how to switch the oe cable out for the longer one without tearing the motor apart??

On both my sleds I had to pull the motor mount that sort of sits over the pump. Then it was easy-peezy![Smile :) :)](https://totallyamaha.net/images/smilies/smile.png)

How did you make out TruckKid? I have to do the same thing tomorrow.
Yes pull the motor mount, and stand on your head. Just be patient and it will go fairly easy. It is a bit hard to get to.

Well I got it done. I took out the air box, the carburetors and that motor mount like everyone else said and it was a piece of cake (In hindsight anyway). Thanks for the help.
One other thing, I know this is an amateur question, but I don't want to risk it. How much slack should I allow in the oil line? Make it so the pump just hits full tension at full throttle, or so that the tension just barely lets off at idle or something else?
