im installing my handlebar risers tonight and i've got everything done but the oil extension cable. i see that there is no easy way to get to the bottom of the cable. anyone know how to switch the oe cable out for the longer one without tearing the motor apart??

Where did you get your brake line and throttle extensions from?
Im gonna be doing the same thing shortly....is there anything else you had to replace?

i got everything from dennis kirk:

riser block
yamaha pivot adaptor - u want this so your bars can go straight up, not angled.
brake line extension
throttle/oil line extension

Yes pull the motor mount, and stand on your head. Just be patient and it will go fairly easy. It is a bit hard to get to.

Well I got it done. I took out the air box, the carburetors and that motor mount like everyone else said and it was a piece of cake (In hindsight anyway). Thanks for the help.

One other thing, I know this is an amateur question, but I don't want to risk it. How much slack should I allow in the oil line? Make it so the pump just hits full tension at full throttle, or so that the tension just barely lets off at idle or something else?
