OK so I have decided to keep the SRX since it is such a fun sled and my nephew likes it. I have moved on an have had a 2006 Apex GT since new but I still like the SRX myself and ride it on occasion. To date I have replaced the rear skid with a Viper unit and dded Ohlins. The front end has a wide kit with stock Viper shocks mounted with BETHEVIPER'S mounts. I am going to add Viper trailing arms and spindles, Ohlins, along with Apex skis.

My questions are what else to do while I this is apart? Mainly interested in improving the suspension as he is ok with the power and clutching.

I would also be interested in what kind of improvments I can make to the suspension of an 01 SRX. i am not sure what year yours is but I want to ask the question what suspension would be the best as far as ease of installing and ride. As we all know the rear suspension is not the best on the sled. I am 6ft and weight 225lbs. Thanks.

Rear Suspension For Srx

I am sure that others would recommend ripping out the Yamaha skid and installing something better like an M-10, but for a small investment in a set of Viper skid shocks and a limiter strap you can Viperize the SRX with great results. Add a front wide kit with stock Viper shocks and the improvement is greater yet.

Hey thanks JerseyJoe. I will take a look around for some Viper skid shocks and a limiter strap. I have seen some m-10 suspensions for around 550-600 bucks. I didnt really want to spend that much. If anybody has one that they want to get rid of pm me. Thanks

can find ohlins rear viper shocks sometimes for about half of that, i loved mine with them, i also put 15" ohlins up front. that sled was awsome, i may end up getting another one and building it the same since i miss it so much.
