where is the most acurate place to install a water temp sensor in a 2000 srx 700?

in the upper hose from the water rail to the coolant bottle.

that looks like it should be easy, i wasnt sure if that was the most accurate though. thanks
that or tap the collant rail in the center like i did and screw sensor rite in ...
if you got a big sensor i guess it would but mine just hang out of the threds i taped in the rail and its very accurate
