ET 250 fuel pump trouble

I have a nice little ET 250 but i cant get the fuel pump to pump gas. Either i new a new one or just have to get the fuel pump to start pumping somehow. I just overhauled it and it sat for about 7 years or something. But writing this out i never thought to replace the gas filter thats inside the tank i believe...I could try to get a new fuel pump gasket kit again maybe i dont have the right one in it or have something screwed up.

have you ever looked into swapping to a mikuni round slide and single outlet pump? i did on my enticer 250 and it starts so much better.

I didnt think of that but i have a 32 mikuni at home i believe.

all i did was measure the center distance between the mounting studs and ordered a universal mikuni mounting flange, new throttle cable for the mikuni and a single outlet fuel pump.
