chaincase oil capacity

hey guys, going through the pre season maintenance and am changing the chaincase oil. Most of it spilled on the garage floor when i pulled the drain.....does anybody know how much it takesto refill the case with fresh oil. I have a bottle of amsoil synthetic chaincase oil but its only 12oz (355ml), would this be enough? thanks........LET IT SNOW!!!!!!

8.5oz. I belive if you look in the tech section under specs that info would be there

i use 8 oz in my srx

I use a full bottle of Amsoil 355 ml beter more than not enough in a chaincase!

8 oz is all she needs ,any more and you may blow the seals..like kirk always does..loll

what is the bst oil to use? i HAVE to service mine it looks nasty...

any is fine if you change it regularly which it should. can use polaris chaincase lube, yamaha chaincase, cat, doo, amsoil. even 80-90 works just fine. most of it is just over priced
