This is my first post on this forum. I have read a lot of posts on this subject and I'm very impressed and have learned a lot. I just pick up a 91 Phazer II STR. I cleaned the carb and noticed that it only had one black plug per carb. I know now that I need two per carb and there location. The sled was bought in Colorado, so I think it might of been set up for higher elevation. The pilot is a #55 (I think this is way lean) the numbers are hard to read but I'm sure it is a 55. The main is a #130 little lean but not as bad as the pilot. It has a pipe that look like a DG and some holes drilled on a tube inside the airbox. I will be running the sled at about 7500ft to 10,000 ft. at 15 F to 30 F. I'm thinking I should change the pilot to a #95 and the main to #140. Is this a safe setting? I wonder if the former owner was leaning it out thinking that was the problem, not knowing about the second black plug. Thanks for any help
