I am pulling the trigger on a new track for the old girl and need some expert advice.

I have had a few people recommend the 1" carve with 96 1.25 studs down the middle. I am wondering if that is the best track for my situation? I trail ride pretty aggressively.

Also what is the best: fully clipped, every third open/closed? light weight track clips?

Anyone else run pretty aggressively on Northern Michigan hard pack trails and have a success story with a track? Some swear by studs and some are totally against them?

I know this throws a monkey wrench in the equation but does a 136" kit make more sense when I am doing a new track?

Thanks for any help I may buy it today.

I have always had a short lug track with studs and hookup on very hard pack was good but loose snow was well bad. Last year was my first tall lug track without studs and I loved it. Hookup was amazing and I will never go back to studs. The track was a camoplast cobra btw and has a 1.352" lug, works great! Just something to think about if you don't plan on ice racing or something along those lines.

Also I would go with a fully clipped track based on my experience. Metal on plastic has much less friction than rubber on plastic, although the track will weigh a little less.
