Is there a test for the DCS sensor to ensure it's functioning within factory spec? IE... resistance check @ specific temperature?? I did a search (lots of reading there!) but found nothing specific. I'm gathering some spare parts for my '02 and want to check the sensor out to see if it's good. ANY and ALL help greatly appreciated.

These sensors hardly fail, look for wiring issues also...

Be sure to inspect the black silicone epoxy on the sensor itself. I had an issue last year with it, must have been letting moisture in the sensor and giving it a false reading, replaced sensor (pricey by the way lol) And no problem with dcs now.
How did you spot that?

lol very careful inspection of the sensor, it was cracked just a hair right where the wire went in, not sure if it caused anything but it would definately let moisture into the sensor, could have dabbed some silicone on it but i figured id replace it and make sure. hasnt acted up since
