Hi I have a 02 viper with 4900 km's on it that is 100% stock.I understand the torque arm mod and what it does.My question is why are some guys breaking engine mounts.Do they have the thing pinned at all times? Are they jumping it lots? The sled I bought I know the history of it since new mostly a trail sled with some drag racing on the lake ever now and then and has been dealer serviced since new.So how do some sleds (like mine) make 5000 km or higher with no issue and some break things steady?? Must be driving habits.I been browsing around the site what a wealth of info awesome site guys !!!

Yes,, the ones that break are usually being ridden very hard... My dads sled (02 viper) has 8000 miles on it without one, but he's just trail riding with a bad back.....
If you add triple pipes (and the extra 25-30 HP or so they add to your Viper) and other HP adding mods, you will find the motor torques more than it did prior -- and more than the stock motor mount can handle. They easily break under that much stress from the added power.
You don't need to be jumping/ bouncing off things to break them. I've broken them last year just driving down the trail!!!!!
