I just installed the 39 tooth bottom gear but i wanted to double check with you guys before i bolt it all up.........I should have been paying better attention when i took it apart.....so, around the center hole in the 39T gear it protrudes out on one side.....which way is the gear supposed to be installed.....does the side of the gear that sticks out go in towards the engine or out towards the side of the sled.....? thanks

I checked out yammi's parts website and it looks like the protruded side goes in towards the engine......someone chime in if i'm wrong....
Here's what I do to check everything is installed + lined up properly:
- put the gears on without the chain and tighten bolts/nut
- lay a straight edge[like the edge of a short ruler] across the surfaces of the top and bottom gear
-check that the gears are flush to each other[the ruler edge lays flat across both gears]
-if ruler edge is not flat across both gears you have some sort of alignment or installation issue
-if necessary, correct any alignment issues with correct spacer/gear installation...I have had to use shims on some sleds over the years to get things right
-disassemble, install gear with chain, tighten everything up properly, add synthetic chain lube and you're good to go!
This ensures the chain is running true to each gear for less wear and better efficiency
Works for Me!
