So ok.......I maybe over looking something or did somthing wrong, or I am just a idiot, but I recently sent my valves out to mr power valve to have them fixed, at which I can say he did very nice job, could not be more happy with them! So while in the mits of putting my new track in, and installing the valves, I have ran across an problem while trying to set the valves. I read the technical page on here, that tells your how to adjust them. Well after following the instructions, and setting the valves, my srx will not idol, it will rev up to 3700 rpm to the point will the clutch will want to engage and then thep rpms will drop and then will die. After playing with the idol, and tring to adjust the valves a secound time but can not get it down to 900 rpm so that the servo is open, all it wants to do is rev up and then come down and die. Like I said I may just be a idiot and doing something wrong or just over looking something. Im leaning towards my carbs being gummed up and not working properly. Any advice would be great

sounds like you turnedd the idle screw out past its stop and have now moved the tors switch, the switch is located right under the screw, check that first!

Ok so did some reading on here about the tors switch, and played around with mine, I discoverd that it had already been bypassed. So I plugged them back togather to see if that made any changes, Its still reving up and then coming back down and dying only way to keep it running is to play with choke. Don't really know where to go from here

Well I just went though the carbs an cleaned out some white jelly looking stuff, reminds be of diesel fuel when it jells up when its cold out, but it definitely was the issue

are u sure those power valve are set correctly .....if u think its your problem just unplug the servo and close those valve and crank it up ..

That's going to be my next move, im not confident the valves are right due to the engine not wnat to idle and not being able open the servo fully, but now that I got idling right im going to go back and readjust the valves or just unplug the servo like you said

so, you cleaned the carbs and its still not idling good?

where are you at in ohio?
