2002 MM-700 water pump leaking

water pump started leaking at 350 miles replaced seal still leaking anyone else had problem? Ive heard to change impeller also?

check your impeler shaft for run off......i know the 2002 models had impeler not machined right...you should change both ,the seal and impeler,if the shaft is straight

Isnt it warranty on a 2002 ?

how to fix your leak

in order to fix your leak you need to replace your impeller,impeller shaft,mechanical seal ,front shaft bearing and clip and not a bad idea to replace your o-ring.i have done several of these and this is the only way to fix the problem.even if your sled isnt under warranty yamaha knows of this problem and they may goodwill the repair for you.if you have any ?'s you can contact me @shanev@frontiernet.net or call me @(715)754-2975.
