I'm in the process of installing a 3'' riser and have a few questions.I've got everything apart and it looks like it will work good except the brake cable seems too short. Do I need to remove the brass circular piece towards the front that only the brake line goes in? (not the throttle one on top, i've got that off) Also, the piece that the handlebar goes in has a small nub that sticks out on the bottom... is it just slightly lopsided by like an eight inch when you tighten it down or do i need to grind that down? Any help is appreciated!

I took the cable out of that brass ring and it reaches fine. I did grind down that nub. CCC
How did you get that ring off the break line?

Just went and looked at my su. My bad i did not have to take it out of that bottom ring. I see exactly what you are talking about now. Not sure why yours would be tight? I was still thinking of that top ring. I do have my break moved in a bit on the bars to allow for hand guards, maybe that is the difference. Im using a 1" block riser with a 2" pivot riser for 3". Still have a bit to spare. I could not go higher for sure without using extensions. You could always just unbolt it and let it hang out of the way, maybe zip tie it down by the break somewhere. Just a thought. CCC
