I decided to put an ad on CL for my sled I just bought as an unexpected situation just came up. Apparently there is someone from THIS forum who doesn't appreciate it, why I don't know, it is none of their business.
Here is their response to my ad, they made it so no one could reply to their ad COWARD,

Didn't you just buy this sled for $2000? Then you asked a million questions on Totally Yamaha about the sled. And now you are trying to sell it for $2850. Why are you selling it now? I just don't get it.

First, what I paid for the sled and what I decide to sell it for is no ones business.
Second, I thought one of the purposes of this forum WAS to ask questions and learn. I have seen MANY people start out with "this may be a stupid question" and the replies are usually "no, ask away, there are many people here to HELP you"
Third, You ask a question, then don't have the balls to allow me to answer it.
Lastly, to the person who posted the ad, Mind your ####### business, you have no clue to what has just been dumped on me and the situation i just found myself in. I am sure you didnt jump into the world of Yamaha's and SRX's knowing everything and have asked a few questions yourself. If you "don't get it" and want to know why I am selling it you could have sent me a PM here and said "Jay, I notice that you are trying to sell your sled, whats up?"


I am on MANY forums and there are some real douchebags on some of them, but I was always REALLY appreciative of the "close knit" SRX community here and the always helpful members. I mean, where else is someone gonna break a part, make a thread and have another member say "send me the part, I will set it up in my machine, drill it out, tap new threads and send it back" NO CHARGE, all in less than a week

No jay-s, you are NOT wrong.

I agree with your #1. This is America. If there were laws against buying low and selling high - the stock market wouldn't exist. Besides that, who knows how much you put into it since then, or what it cost you to go get it.

I agree with your #2. The people one this site are just the best when it comes to answering questions, especially the stupid questions that I have asked.

And I agree with your #3. Take it from me, life can change in an instant and it is rarely for the better. I understand your frustration. Just write this guy off as an idiot. For every one like him, there are many many many that are unbelieveably great.

I hope things work out for you.

No, his comments wont affect the sale when he is making multiple posts on CL for what i bought it for?
 
It would go like this instead. "You want how much for it? No-way you just paid 2K for it. Ill give you 1,800 cash." I have people trying to give me $450 for an exciter. Im like dude down the road a guys selling an 81 jag 340 for more than that. I HATE CL.
 
I don't get what his problem is, it's none of his business, if it was illegal to sell something for more than you paid for it our entire economy wouldn't exist, i flagged his post so hopefully they remove it for ya, Good luck with the sale and that's a damn nice looking srx and it is worth well over $2000

You have done nothing wrong!! It would be nice if you made a buck from using TY that you at least be a VIP member and give back a small amount!!
 
Just flag the posting and Craigslist will take it off. I think more than one person needs to flag it though. I will go on there and flag it in a couple minutes if it's still listed.
 
Don't let that idiot get under your skin anymore. I've had run-ins with CList douche bags before. I can't stand people who think everyones business is their business.
If they ever post again on CList I'll flag it. I think you'll find that things come and go quickly on CList and things get forgotten just as quickly.
I know you've put alot of money and time into that sled and I hope you get every penny you ask for it. Hope you are able to work through the situation your in. Faith and determination persevere.

It will only sell for the price you accept. If you go a major deal on the sled for $500, does that automatically mean it is only worth $500 to everyone else? I think not.
 
1800.00 delivered to me in Michigan.. It will sit in my garage till I blow up my 2000..... probably got two more years for that.. I'll sell it back to you for same.....hehe. call me
 
OK,, I'll put it in my living room with a flat screen on the bars...... I'll tell the kids not to play on it......
