Please can somone tell me what kind and where I can get rivits for my tunnel on my viper.I am replacing a part in the bulkhead and need to make sure I use the rite rivits. Thanks Turbotod

You need a high quality steel rivet for that application. You can get rivets of comparable quality at a lower cost than the OEM rivets from:
1. www.sledtoyz.com. This site is owned and operated by a TY member, Crewchief 47
2. from a fellow TY member named DING, I bought rivets from him lat year
3. www.oftracing.com. This site has them listed right on their website.

Same boat here. Installing rear heat exchanger to Viper, was on SledToyz last night and they have what ya need. Going to place an order today as well.

Not sure which size I need though...crewchief - any advise?

Should be the 3/8" head multi grips. I have the 1/2" grip range only. The only others I have at this time are large head aluminum and I don't recommend those for heat exchangers/tunnels.

I'm working on getting the large head multi grips but it won't be until the next order, and I have 6000 rivets to go through before that happens. :D

Most of them will be the Avdel Stavex BS01-0618 which is a standard head in zinc coated steel with a .059 - .364 grip range. The BS01-0622 is the same style rivet with a .250 - .500 grip range and can be used wherever many pieces of material or the thickness of material is too much for the .364 grip.

Got mine from either fastenall or MSC. I got stainless rivets. Better have a strong set of hands ! I luckilly had a buddy that has a 3' long handled riveter. Looks like a bolt cutter !!

Best investment I made last year was to buy the 1/4" air riveter from Harbor Freight. Got if for around $50 w/ coupon. Pulls up to 1/4" w/ just a squeeze of the handle. Stainless steel are no problem. Never had an issue and it has pulled many a rivet. My $.02.
