I was told I could modify the pipes on my srx to gain 2-3 hp. and that it was simple to do. Are there any specs on this or maybe someone could email me a diagram as to where to cut the pipes and so on. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Ken.

Best thing is to just run 76 SRX pipes. They look just like 78-80 pipes at first glance. But when you put them side by side you can see the difference. They say they are goood for 8 to 10 hp gains over stock 78-80 pipes.

78-79-80 SRX EXHAUST IS THE SAME EXCEPT FOR POSSIBLEY AFEW SMALL THINGS LIKE THE EXHAUST RINGS etc. THEY ALL MAKE POWER AT SAME RPM 8800-9000. THERE WAS A '' MOD '' DONE TOO THESE PIPES TO GET MORE RPM OUT OF THEM. I BELIEVE IT WAS TO SHORT,IN NECKS AND SLIGHTLY CHANGE TURN. I HAD A SET DONE ALONG TIME AGO BY PSI AND I BELIEVE THE CHANGE WAS A COPIE OF THE 76 SRX PIPE. 3:16 (yammie tony)

The modification specs are in the 76 SRX race manual. There are repos on ebay every once in awhile. Jeff Wurl
