I am changing the rear and center shock on my 97 VMAX XTC. I purchased SPI non-rebuildable gas shocks from my dealer. The rear shock looks like it will work, however I am having an issue with the center. The eye lit hole on the top of the shock is almost 1/2" to wide to fit in the bracket. The bottom eye lit whole is exact same size as the old one and will fit, but the top side is too wide. They should be just under 7/8" wide but the one side is almost 1 1/2" wide. I verified that I had the correct part number for the sled. Has anyone else ran into this?? I am going to call the dealer tomorrow. Of course there is no part number on the shock itself only on the box it came so it may be possible that they put the wrong shock in the box.
