Hi guys, i'm new on the forums !
Just bought a 1999 SRX 700 two weeks ago, powerfull machine, really fun to ride !
Only one things : When I crank it up, everythings fine, but after the warm up session, when I start to ride, the temp light flashes under 5000 RPM. I can ride all day without the engine overheat for real. The sequence is : one long flash + three short flash.
I don't have the yamaha genuine manual from the manufacturer. So my question is : What could it be ?!? The sled run fine although!

check your thermostat for proper ohms should be .322 k ohm @ 80 C, 2.450 k ohm@20C room temp. if improper voltage ,replace. also check your wiring as sometimes there can be a short, burned through wire! be careful not to drop the sensor as you will have to replace it if you do happen to drop it!

first check to see if the sensor is actually pluged in.if its disconnected it will give that code. its on the bottom side of the water rail on the thermostat side.
