I have my primary off and took cover off to replace weights...But now can't get the spyder out to do a major cleaning and replace bushings. How is the spyder removed?
its threaded by left hand threads into the fixed shave, you need a tool to remove it
thanks...lol another tool!
Searched the new and don't see a tool. Do you know where I can get one? Web site?
It is a grunt tool. Very $$$$$. You don,t need to remove the spyder at all; just blow it out with compressed air. The spider is red loctited on & has reverse threads. Don,t remove it.

Not only do you need a clutch spider grunt tool, you will also need the clutch holding fixture and a uber-solid work bench. The slickest holding fixture I have used mounted in a 2" reese hitch...it is ultra solid. You will need oxy/acetalyne torches to heat the nut and spider to be able to remove them without damaging the threads that WILL have red loctite on them. Last but not least dont forget to reapply the red to the threads during reassembly.
