After dealing with a constant over rev on my SRX after numerous set ups over the last 3 seasons i found this set up seem to get me within the right RPM numbers. Set up on primary is www with 4.5g & 5.0g rivest in the 8dn20 weights, secondary is green @ 70deg with 47/53 helix(Dalton?). Holeshot at 8300 and them settle at 8100 with steady climb to peak at just over 8500. I should be happy but i have been told by several people that the 47/53 is not the right helix and that it's "too steep". What to you guys think. Turk?
Oh ya my SRX is longtracked 136 with an unstudded RipSaw, stock gearing, longtravel'd in the rear and front with Viper shocks. I was able to get about 103 mph (gps) on this set up, which is the fastest it gone since making it 136.
Thanks

When I was racing 660' Snow Drags with our ported/piped 700 SX I used a Dalton 53/47 with a Yamaha green spring at 70 wrap and thunder shift weights with great success but I would think it may be too steep for a studded sled or when used in situations where there was little to no track spin during launch. Like Turc says each sled/situation is a little different.
