Got my newly acquired sled out for the first time last night. Ran it up the road and back then pulled the plugs. Its running lean. Checked the book and discovered it is jetted for 4,000-6,000 ft. (#158 Jet) We will be using this at the 2,000-3,000 ft range. Will changing to the lower altitude #164 jet make it run richer?

Changed the filter and jets.

Will test it next week after I get the re-covered seat installed

yes it will richen it up.at lower elevations the air is denser so you need more fuel to keep the mixture correct.
