Greetings,

I have a 98 MM 700 i bought for my son 2 years back. We broke the front Rear shock spring and shock mount on the skid assembly. I'd like to purchase some inexpensive preferably used but rebuildable shocks but need to know interchangeability. Will SRX skid shocks work? What year and model skid shocks are interchangeable with my 98? Don't really want to spend a fortune here as it's just a spare sled for my kiddo to play on so he's not thrashing on the wifes or mine. Any info would be greatly appreciated as i'd like to get this fixed for Christmas Break so we can do some family riding.

Thanks in advance,

Christien

So we were just trail riding and that collar on the shock just snapped and the spring decided to wrap itself around the drive axle. Ended up having to run home on 1 machine and grab a hacksaw to cut it free. That took forever but enabled us to get the sled home. Here's what's left of the shock; hope this helps... I've been meaning to get this fixed for 2 years now and have finally gotten off my arse to get it done. Thanks for your help!

centre shock

Free length should be 12 11/16" centre to centre fully extended . Is common on all 11.5" pro action suspension Steel bodied or rebuildable Kayabas. Different only to short travel early SX and all SRX except 98 MSRX which is also long travel
