Not sure where to post this but I am having trouble with my scoot clutch. I have a 1988 sno scoot, I have cleaned the clutches, bought a new belt, everything. What I am noticing is that the belt doesnt go all the way up on the rear sheave, well I noticed that it doesnt go all the way down in the front primary clutch. Its like the primary clutch isnt opening up enough to let the belt go down further. I have taken it apart several times and this is exactlly what it is doing.
If I take the primary apart slowly and let the belt slide down into the sheave it will then let out enuf slack to let itself go all the up on the secondary (rear sheave). Its the correct belt also. Is this the way these are suspose to be, it acts like its starting out in second gear or something. Any ideas.
