I had a guy that one of my friends know that is a certified yamaha mechanic tell me that he would clean my valves and carb for $100. I have to go out of town on buisness for all of next week and was hoping to get at them then before my trip on the 15th now I wont have time to do that. Do you guys think this is a fair price? It takes me normally 2 hrs but for him maybe less. Thanks :2strokes: :letitsnow

should be a good price if he knows what he's doing. My dealership wanted 70 for just the valve to be adjusted right LOL!

If he's a good wrench and pays attention to detail, Mehh..i guess that's ok if thats how you need to do it,but you know how it goes want it done right do it your self(for free),i just don't trust no one with my stuff...

a hundred is pretty fair to the carbs and the valves...I get $30 per carb to clean them and have had no complaints. ask him to check the sync of the carbs as long as he is going to have them on the bench...he shouldn't charge extra for this ifhe is honest...takes no more than 15 min to sync all carbs if needed

I thought it was pretty fair...he is a certified yamaha mechanic and does my stuff on the side. I travel a lot for work and I am strapped for time sometimes and he is an honest guy and I trust him. I will ask him to sync them, I would assume he would do that anyway but I will make sure. Thanks guys.
