Quick CDI question??

So I finally got a used CDI for my sled, let me tell ya hard to find! Anyways, it has the same part numbers as my old one, the 8DN 30, and the F8T38871 number stamped on it. However to the right of that number there is a 1704, on my old box there was a 1710... Im just curious what this number is for or what it designates?

I believe the numbers you are refferring to only have significance to the manufacturer, probably a production number. I have two spares one is number 1614 and the other is 1703. The 8DN-30 is the most important for our 2002 CDIs.
