any suggestions on the best coolant to use to keep my viper cool
I don't know as there's any preferred coolant to use as long as it's compatible with aluminum, personally I use whatever the local auto parts store has not necessarily the cheaper stuff but green and mix it 50/50.Some guys like to mix it 60/40 but I think most manuals will state to use 50/50.

60 anitfreez/40 deionized (distilled) water per manual. Dont use tap water as the crap in the water is what starts the corrosion. But any 50/50 will work also. Just make sure safe for aluminum like fourbarrel said. CCC
That's a good point too about using distilled water instead of tap water, especially if your like me and are on a municipal water system that's chlorinated.super1c said:60 anitfreez/40 deionized (distilled) water per manual. Water out of a dehumidifier works great. Any where between 50/50 and 60/40 mixture is fine.

Guys go to your local ford dealer and pick up some motorcraft premium gold. I think its the best on the market. I use it in everything and have never seen any corrosion from it. Ive opened up alot of engines well over 100k that have been spotless. I run it in my gm's as well. Dex-cool sucks.

The only stuff I use now is Amsoil antifreeze. You should check out the specs on that.
