So...another question.
I got the cotter pins and the nuts off the tie rods on both the inner and outer ends. Soaking them down with penetrating oil now because 3 of the 4 refused to cooperate with my dis-assembly plan.
OK, they will soak overnight and then what? Beat them off with a hammer or does someone have a better idea? I don't really care what they look like afterwards because I am replacing them - just want these rusty critters out of there.

Either use a small automotive tie-rod splitter or hit the eyelet where the tie-rod goes in.
