I started a project awhile back to take my Yamaha 600 SX that had caught a ring on the exhaust port and transplant a running engine in its place. I of course started this a long time ago and now have a few questions.
First, the engine I bought had BR9EYA plugs in it. I always ran BR9ES in the Vmax and BR9ECS in my SRX. I have learned the ECS version has better vibration resistance. What is the difference in these plugs. Should I be running these? Is there a reason they may have run these.
Second, on the used engine I bought there is what looks to be a ground wire coming off the top water pump housing. My previous sled did not have this wire. I am a little confused why was this on there and then if it should be, where should it connect to.
Third, Since it was so long ago since I disconnected the fuel, vacuum, and oil lines I just want to make absolutely sure I get them correct. The two fuel lines out of the pump are the ones closest to the clutch are easy their only long enough to go to the carbs. Then I have a vac line (black) going to the lower case. The other line coming from the fuel pump I have going to the side of the oil pump is this correct? Then the last of the oil lines is the one from the bottom of the reservoir. I have this one going to the underside or bottom of the oil pump. Are these correct?
Thanks very much for your help. Hopefully I can get this thing up and running for this winter.

Sounds correct to me.
I run the EYA plugs in my 700. They're the same as the ES plugs, but they have a V groove in the electrode. Gives a little better spark, and resist fouling. I like them, and put them in every sled I service as well.

Anyone else? How about that wire? Anyone have this on their 600. I read somewhere this evening that the BR9EYA plugs don't have as good of ground. Do you think this was the reason for the wire?
Thanks for any help
