can anybody tell if i can make a 1996 polaris xlt xtra10 skid fit in 2001 srx thanks

Yes, it has been done... Need dimensions from the donner sled to make it work properly...

Rear axle to front axle than do a measurment of ground to how high they are.Than look for installing other skids in the tech faq forum.

Need measurements from center of drive axle to first mount, then first to back mount..... And also mount locations to inside of upper tunnel for clearence....

Just an FYI - '96 was the first full year for the xtra-10 and was only available in both XCRs (the white old chassis and black bomb) and the Ultra. I snow-checked a white '96.

The XLT used the xtra-12.

May want to confirm what you're putting in. If the skid came out of a '96 XLT, it's an xtra-12. The XLT special had Fox shocks but was still an xtra-12.

...and yes you can stuff it in your SRX. It's what I should have done before Viperizing mine.
