On my SX500, I've replaced a few head gaskets in the last few years and the repacements have always matched the original (three layer metal with full cut outs for coolant flow). Winderosa must have made a change in the last year because the head gasket I got this time had four of the coolant passageways blocked by the center metal with small holes instead. I just rebuilt and the last thing I want is to blow this thing up. Winderosa noted the E on the center metal is to face the exhaust. I'm still comfused - why are four of the passageways 75% obstructed by the gasket? I had a overheating problem before and don't want a repeat or worse.
