i fished for 20 minutes until i caught it!
what a joke!!! this is as far as it will come out! now why and the heck wouldn't yamaha not add 3 more inches to this, so that this could be an easy swap? i guess i'm only out $3.50 for the filter. i can't believe it

get a set of the long hemostats, they will grab the hose and you can pull it off and stick the new one on, I agree another couple inchs would have been a whole lot easier, but hey, they saved 2 cents....lol

I just went through this like 3 days ago,lol. I ended up removing the airbox and replacing the line inside as well. It was nasty shriveled. Before it put the new filter in, I used a shop vac and sucked up all the crud inside the tank too!!

Using a shop vac to clean out the gas tank was a really bad idea unless you like explosions. You are really lucky you did not have an explosion since the vacuum cleaner get surrounded by gasoline fumes and the sparks from the brushes in the motor could have ignited the fumes.
