i just recently purchased a 00 SXR 700 last winter and didn't have much riding time. in fresh snow it seems as if the front of the sled wants to just bow down and the snow just sits right over the headlight making visibility ZERO. i am also lucky to be able to even hit 75mph (speedo not radar) on a good day. what the heck is the deal here? poor suspension adjustment? idler clutch bad? this thing is in fairly good condition with onl 2200 miles on it. help....

well first off go through and make sure everything is good. like bushings, track tension cleaning carbs. then look into clutching. make sure bushings and rollers are good and check the buttons on the secondary.
also check compression on motor too

track tension adj is located by the rear idler wheel? what is part called that the rear shock is conected to? i looked over the sled front to rear and check the compression (good) i do need to change the plugs (on the to do list). track is questionable however there is no dry rot but missing a few lugs nothing big though...
