Stupid question but whats the best easiest way too remove them. I always paid someone to clean the carbs but it's about time I learned to do this on my own. I found the search on how to clean them but not to remove them from the sled.

they are easy to take off. remove the one bolt holding the air box on, remove that, then loosen the 3 goldish clamps holding the carbs to the motor, they will pull right out. then take the fuel lines and cables off.

I take the one bolt out as mentioned (By your left knee if sitting on sled) Then I split the box apart (7 screws I think). This makes it easier to remove the whole airbox. Once its off, disconect TORS, TPS (at the chaincase side) and your fuel lines, throttle cable and choke cable. When removing the cables just loosed your jam nut and that way you won't change any settings. When you have the carbs back on and are ready to install the air box, take the big piece with the carb boots on it and install it. If you leave the cone looking thing out, you can reach from the inside of the airbox to push the carb boots over the mouth of the carbs.. makes it a lot easier. Put the cone thing back in and then the top piece.

just remember that when you take the pilot adjusting screw out, that there is a tiny washer and oring . they are really easy to lose if you use compressed air when you are cleaning the carbs.
