Since these valves are really hard to clean up..thought of this idea. Can I put maybe 2 strke or trans oil in a pot and heat it up on the stove and then drop the PV's in there.Let it cook a while..will these maybe soften up the crap on the valve enough that you only have to wipe it clean..should try it.

Are you using Amsoil Intercepter? If not, you should!
FYI - I did a test last year running Yamalube in my "01" SRX and Amsoil in my "98" SRX. The "01" broke down mid way through season because of shock issues. By the end of the season the "98" had nearly twice as many miles on it using only Amsoil and the PV's were 10X cleaner than the "01's".
Thought this might help for future cleanings.

Blue i can't beleive you haven't read the threads on the use GM Kleens, or as it's now called AC Delco Kleens, you can get it at either a GM dealership or anybody that carries AC Delco products. Here in Northern Ontario Benson's Auto Supply carries AC Delco products.

Works pretty fast ,I did a set of powervalves for a member the other day and had them done in about an hour but I also used a razer to scrape off the heavy stuff first ,and a burgundy scratch pad ,it ate the shit off alot faster than carb cleaner, its only $7.95 a can at the dealer for it,try it !

1. Carb cleaner, not the best, but works.
2. Some razor blade work.
3. Use red Scotch Brite pad laying on edge of table.
4. Short, fast, strokes back and forth.
5. Rinse off and ur done.
Takes me 45 min to an hour start to finish.
You guys that are use to short strokes can probably do this in like 30-45 min.

If you have the time let them soak for 24-48hrs and most of the carbon turns to jelly. I usually use an old tooth brush to get the heavy stuff off and just a little scrub with scotch bright.

X2 on this oil

Also please don't use scrapped because of coating on pv.
I use a m3 pad and seafoam cleans up in 15 min
