After reinstalling my rear axle, I noticed that the wheel/bearing on the nut side is not all the way on the axle. All the components are in the right order and and there is no slop throughout the axle, but only a 1/3rd to 1/2 of the bearing is sitting on the axle.
I looked at my 01, and the axle is just about flush with the outside of the bearing.
The 98 also as aftermarket wheels.
Does anyone one have any insight into this, or is this correct?
Could someone look at their sled and let me know?

Just got done rebuilding all 3 of my skids and 2 out of the 3 arent quite flush. Both vipers are about the same as yours. They were like this the first time i took them apart. You are fine. CCC
