I recently purchased a 97' vmax700sx, I wish idiot's would do at least a "modicum" of maintenance to thier sled's
So far I have had to replace all the idler wheel bearing's on every wheel on both rail's, that's eight, including the rear large one's, which you could grab and wiggle from side to side, what's the problem with people? On top of this, it was his wifey's sled!
At least I can be at peace knowing this is done now, do any of you do maintenance to your or your wife's sled, on top of this, the guy put a new "ripsaw" track on the sled with the bad bearing's! Geesh! I guess I learned a lesson the hard way!

whenever i see 'wife's sled' in an ad, that instantly sets off a red flag. I see LOTS of 'wife's sleds', knowing full well the wife probably have never sat on it once.
bearings... some guys don't replace them until the wheels fall off, literally! I had an idler fly up and past me shortly after buying my arctic cat. On both my sleds, i did many, many hours of routine maintenance the previous owners should have done. Maybe I'm particular, but if I know a part has lived its useful life and is going to fail soon, its coming out. Much easier than having it fail on the trail.
