First ride of the season today up in tug hill. I'm on the side of the trail puzzled. Srx isn't working correctly today. And I'm trying to figure it out before the day is over. It pulls all the way to 9k it seems but once you hit below 3.5-4k it goes in some kind of limo mode. Almost like its bogging out. I cleaned the carbs this season, rerouted my wire harness last season and it wasn't doing this the last ride last year. Have any idea's? .thanks guys in advanced!

Sounds like your TORS is kicking in. Bypass the TPS at the carb rack, unplug the sensor on the top of the rack and take the sled side and plug it into itself. If that fixes it, then your throttle is sticking or the cable is too tight.

Sounds like your throttle is sticking and when you let off the throttle, TORS recognizes that it's sticking and kicks in. Try to make sure your cable isn't over something or pinched.

I also noticed that say when i come up to a sharp corner or even brake and when the RPM'S rev down past 4k thats when it going in the limp mode. Then when the sled idles down past 2.5K RPM it will then work fine again.

yep, tors switch, either throttle cable is too tight, or the switch is going bad.

just loop the wires at the carb rack for the tors switch if the throttle cable has slack in it, it will then work just fine.

SRX Bogging

Although I can't be certain what it is you are experiencing, I can tell you an experience that I had a few years back (that sounded similar) with my SRX 700. Problem ended up being a broken spring in the clutch, allowing the belt to drop too when the RPMs dropped. While I was troubleshooting this (while out with a group on a ride), once I got above 4 grand, sled would pull as expected (or close) . Before I got to 4, it seemed very boggy and unresponsive. Just a thought. Good luck.......hopefully your matter is a simple one to resolve.

To disable TORS to try to diagnose the problem would i have to do any splicing with the wires? Im pretty certain its the TORS after doing a few searches

no, theres a male and female end of the wires down at the carb rack, simply plug the sled harness ends into each other.
