Well I put another 55 miles on the re-built motor and she is snappy today.Running in -25 to -30 windchills.I can tell motor has picked up power now because she is really over reving. Compression is 150 on all 3 cylinders now after 360 km's on motor.Plugs are perfect for these temps also.
I know stock primary with 8dg's use 2.4g inner and 3.6 g outer.I replaced the inner with 3.6 after re-build because I know these motors over-rev from factory. 2ndary stock spring and wrap also are stock specs.I am now winding out at about 9000 and drops down to 8700.So I can lose some rpm's on top.Long pull on a smooth river with about 1" snow on it and runs at 8700 wot. Now I am geared down 1 tooth upper(19). I have 2 possibilies here.Should I go back to 20 tooth upper since she has the power to pull now,and maybe load the motor more and drop rpm or should I add a 4.5g rivet on the weights in 1 location. It feels like I am reving and need to shift into another gear so to speak.Otherwise this 600 is just howling like it never has before..love the new found power..just want to get closer to that 8400-8500 wot rpm.

PS: just to let you know..dragged the 700XTC ..Bluemonster2's sled, and take him off the line everytime..cool.But when he catches me ..he leaves me... :o| #$%&*

Id gear back up ....... sounds like that is more your type of ridding........

probably will gear her up..I also have a 21 and 22 gears, but will stay at stock specs. Then if it is still over-revving,I can add something to the weights.Got to love this 600..bullet proof all the way..solid motors for sure. This sled has never dissapointed me..never ever breaks down anywhere with close to 13,000 hard ridden km's on it .

River riding was great today..wicked ice !!! That is the La Salle of course.even ran on the friggin Golf Course there..lol....brought the clubs along with us to.
