i have been working on my own sled for a while now and when it came to clutching i just did what every body else told me but im starting to come around. im wondering what the secondary twist dose. i know how to set it i just dont know what more or less twist will do for you. also what problems will you notice when your twist is not right??

the higher the # (6 & 3 compared to 3 & 3) will raise the rpm, but depending on the spring it may not allow the belt to ride to the bottom of the secondary (full shift) and in most circumstances it will give a better backshift as well. Also tightening the secondary will keep the belt from "falling down" into the secondary (overshifting), etc.
