a buddy has a 99 SRX700. Eats a lot of plugs. It'll run fine, shut it off, fire it back up and it'll have a dead plug. Happens when he's riding too. It's always a different cylinder too. He runs 9ECS plugs

Change the sparkplug caps out for the best you can find. Also cut the wires back so they will have clean wire to screw into.My 600 used to be a pig on plugs right from new now with 25000 km it gets a new set start of the year and thats it.

He said plugs look brand new, not wet or black. He'll stick a new plug in it, and away she goes! Sled works good when it's on all three. I just cleaned the carbs very well, and the power valves were just rebuilt. I believe the mains were 142.5 X2 and the other was a 145.5 if I remember. I'm going to tell him to change the caps, and cut wires.

Mine used to be bad too. Especially if it was sitting there idling it would foul plugs easy and the plugs were always black. I dropped my needles one a couple years ago and that really helped.

X-2 Replace those caps. The previous owner told me to buy stock in plugs. I fouled a brand new set in 10min. Replaced caps/problem solved
