has anyone done this? Reason for asking is I have the 144x14 maverick off my 09' MTX and I'm going to cut the lugs down to 1" and install it on my Phazer II. Obviously the stock gearing isn't going to cut it and finding parts to gear down the old style chain is close to impossible or VERY spendy. I was wondering if I can just change the gears, chain, and tensioner assembly and be done or if I need to swap the whole chain case. If its just the guts then I can get the phazer ST chain, gears, idler for 30$ on fleabay.

My OTHER option is that I can pickup a 7 tooth driver ST axle for 60$ and install it but I'm wondering if the lower gears use the same axle spline between pre 91' and 91'+

I'm going to make factory style extensions and also move the skid back 4" to fit the 144" track. My dad likes to use it for ice fishing but complains about getting stuck pulling the fish house with the 121 1/2" conveyor belt track that on it, the 144" should surprise him when he gets it back! ;)
